we went to many places today. :)
first stop was, going around Sichuan Bei Lu to see see look look in a taxi.
our intial plan was to go there to shop, but the taxi uncle said there isn't much stuff to buy there.
however, we insisted to go there first to take a look. aha.
we saw a whole stretch of street that sells musical instruments along the way.
then we reached Sichuan Bei Lu. Lol! Like what the uncle said,
there really isn't much things to buy there. ahahaha!
so, he recommended us to go to somewhere called Pudong Ba Bai Ban.
he told us that's the No.1 place in Shanghai. so we agreed to go there.
when we reached, we found out that this place is good, nice BUT the stuff there were expensive.
we couldn't afford to buy stuff from there. lol.
we did some window shopping & save money though. ahah!
went to the electronics mall like Singapore's Sim Lim Square.
thought that electronics here would be cheaper, but hell no!
its so much more expensive!
planning to find my underwater housing actually :(
we decided to leave that area, so we cabbed to Cheng Huang Miao, which is across Huangpu River. We have to go through an underground tunnel to get to the opposite.
We queued for like 30mins to buy the famous Xiao Long Bao there. it was really good!
and tried the smelly tofu there.
walked around there and left around 7pm? WALKED to the Bund (外滩) Woo!
we went to the Bund to see the night view of the Oriental Pearl Tower (东方明珠塔)!
Bund is directly opposite Oriental Pearl Tower, across Huangpu River, so we can see the whole stretch of buildings together with the Oriental Pearl from there.
the journey there was dangerous, exciting and adventurous.
we didn't know how to get there from Cheng Huang Miao & insisted not to take a taxi,
just asked around for directions. lol
walked along the roads with cars zooming past us, people stopping us from entering the construction area (which is actually a shortcut to the tower) LOL.
after walking for like 40mins or so, we finally found the BUND! heh heh!
took pictures like nobody's business.
snap snap snap, the view was really pretty. very.
wind was strong, very very cold.
and soon, it started to drizzle -.-
rushed to find a taxi before the rain gets heavy. But all taxis were either occupied or they didn't want to stop.
and some people attempted to snatch taxi from us. damn.
walked down the bund to search for a taxi. spent around 30mins i think, before we got into a taxi and headed back to our hostel.
